Linux We don't officially support 32 bit versions of linux, but there's a bit of a gotcha here. MacOS Put libsteamapi.dylib next to the app. It is not (primarily) a tech-support forum.Put steamapi64.dll next to the exe. The OS they used wasn't even DOS, it was a little thing called CP/M or Control Program for Micros which was originally released in 1974 and with those parts I mentioned, became an early standard in business and home computing (One of the most popular ways to run CP/M was in an Apple II with a Zilog Z80 softcard) and came on the famous Altair 8800 (The blue box with no screen) and the Osborne 1 (The first commercially viable portable computer) among other notable early PCs.Anyway, later on when Intel had released the 16bit 8086/8088, Seattle Computer Products released an OS for machines based on those processors called 86-DOS that could run CP/M software nearly seamlessly with a command structure and API that imitated CP/M because they were unsure when the actual 8086 version of CP/M would come out and needed an OS to sell asap, with the two main differences being improved disk buffering logic and the introduction of FAT12. There's no reason to assume ill intent where there's none.They aren't asking for testing every single revision on Linux.They're asking for the builds that are meant to be released to be tested before said release.I think most people in this comment chain would have been fine with delayed updates - dev gets the Windows version working, builds a release, schedules it to be released, gets the Linux version working, builds a release, schedules it for release. And you guys are not helping when you keep making threads like these when a developer decides to be honest about their reasons for doing or not doing something. The amount of resources you have to dedicate (either in time spent learning the system so you ship something properly or in actual support after the game is shipped) doesn't justify itself. Hell, a fair few would be happy with at least an honest effort as long as the game runs without triggering epileptic seizures. In this case, Newman explicitly says in the blog post that they didn't test on Linux unless they already knew or suspected something was wrong.Linux users don't expect perfection.
